It started with two moms, a friendship, and a love for beautiful things.

We met while our husbands were in grad school, both new moms with small businesses of our own and a shared love for design, home, and the little details that make childhood feel special. In 2015, we created our first brand, Fin & Vince, and years later, that same creative partnership grew into New Grain.

Neither of us came from a design background, we simply knew what we loved. Today, every New Grain piece is designed by the two of us with a focus on thoughtful details, responsible production, and quality meant to last. From blankets and bedding to toys and keepsakes, we create pieces that feel collected rather than temporary...the kind you use throughout childhood, tuck away when they’ve been outgrown, and someday pass along.

We’re still just two moms designing the things we want in our own homes, made to be remembered and curated for time.

Our blankets began in Portugal, where Sara was born and raised. A country with a long tradition of textile craftsmanship and a special connection to our story. We’ve been lucky enough to visit, meet the people behind our pieces, and see firsthand the care that goes into making them. We choose beautiful, high-quality materials and work with makers who share our appreciation for thoughtful production and goods made to last.

As New Grain has grown, so has our little community of makers. We work with a family-owned factory in Peru, produce select layette pieces in India, and partner with a small-batch workshop in Bolivia where our toys are made by hand.

We’re intentional about where and how our pieces are made, choosing partners for their craftsmanship, materials, and responsible practices. We don’t design for a season or a trend. We make things to be used, loved, kept, and passed down.
